Steve Albini wrote:Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

This isn’t doing well in the theaters, huh? Didn’t FNAF do better numbers last weekend? And that movie is also on streaming

im not aware of the box office of this one, but there is an ocean of difference between FNAF and this one, in every regard, not just the creative side but also the expected box office.

Wowwww I fucking loved this. So rich, so opulent. Such mastery of mood and rhythm. The movie really takes you places and so deftly. It was almost surreal to see Robert DeNiro give such a good performance again. That felt great, even when it was horrifying. Movies!

Would you say this is Scorsese's most opulent movie?

Just watched it again. You guys, this is a fucking masterpiece. So many astonishing images in this movie. The lighting in Mollie's house is so beautiful and a great narrative tool

yeah, the photography is really good but i was mostly surprised with the montage. The whole movie has a perfect rhythm which is very difficult for a movie with this size.
