What movies are you watching?

Just finished Sly on Netflix. Pretty interesting. He seems to have quite a different outlook on life at his age than Arnold does.

I enjoyed both documentaries about each of them. I thought Arnold seemed more sad about where he is now. He was always on top of everything, arguably the biggest Hollywood star at some point in time, then a governor. Had a great marriage. Now, he's is living with the scandal that happened. Sly was just focused on living. Moving back east to get the best out of life. He's probably loved living in California, but he needed something new to happen.

Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

I agree that he found a way to be more present than Arnold in the last couple of years.

Stallone is still carrying around shit in regards to his dad. He still has a lot of bitterness towards him. (And I’m not saying he shouldn’t). Arnold seems to have made peace with all his old ghosts.

I thought he and his dad had a beautiful moment at the end of his dad’s life.

Arnold also had some issues with back home, like wanting to leave it behind, and especially with his brother dying.

Those seem to have been dismissed more than five years ago, and he always denied them. Don’t think that would affect the documentary.

they are iconic. As a kid, growing up in the 90s, i was a arnold fan. Huge fan. I couldnt really understand Sly at all.

These days, im more of a Sly guy.

Sly is definitely the better actor, but Arnie is a lot more charming
