It really was. PJ is a very difficult band to cover. Ed's voice is so distinct and any attempt to emulate it always fall flat. You have to do a different spin on it and this is an excellent example.

This one rivals Daughter for the “invite you in” feel at the beginning. Is this the riff Stone said he played over and over during down time in the Yield sessions trying to get the band to take notice?

The guitars and bass welcome you so nicely as does Ed’s vocal delivery while the opening lyrics literally lock you in.

I love this song. One of my favorites from Yield. It’s one of the best examples of that “layered” sound yield has, the way the bass, piano, and second guitar dance with each other.
