I went through album by album and wrote down a list of the songs that are a "must have" for me then broke it down from there:

Alive
RVM
Corduroy
Hail Hail
Faithfull
Parting Ways
Bushleaguer
Not For You
I Got ID
Release

The top four are rock solid but there's another solid half dozen sitting on the bench that I could quite easily slip in that list depending on my mood. Interestingly enough Yield has the most individual songs that I like then Ten and Riot Act. I always felt Vitalogy or No Code were my favourite albums as they are usually the ones I put on from start to finish. Weird.

OK, this is kinda stupid. I've clicked into this thread about 10 times, always meaning to lay down my top ten, but every time gotten daunted and confused, realising what an enormous responsibility this post actually was, and ended up startled and running away like a young doe caught squarely in the headlights of a Ford Explorer on a blustery, snowy night.

Anyways, enough of that weak crap - I've grown a pair, and this is my 10. In order of course, as any other way is just pussying out.

01. Even Flow - fuck yeah.
02. Release
03. All or None
04. Do the Evolution
05. Yellow Ledbetter
06. Elderly Woman Behind the Counter in a Small Town
07. Not For You
08. Wash
09. Black, Red, Yellow
10. Rearviewmirror

This is hard. As you are all too aware.

Tremor Christ
Immortality
Last Exit
Save You
Nothing As It Seems
Rearviewmirror
Black
State Of Love And Trust
All Or None
Indifference

And there's maybe 5 or 6 others that would rotate into position 7 through 10 on any given day. It seems I'm old school, or just old.

I will compile these next weekend for anyone interested. That gives folks a week to get their lists done.

I'm well. Kid and work keep me way the hell busier than I used to be, which means less time for list compilations.

How are you going to do it? Just see which songs are mentioned the most? Or assume they are all in 1-10 order?

As most of the lists are done in no particular order I was going to give all songs a neutral weighting and have the top 10 based on aggregate. Where people did more than 10 I'm just going to disregard any songs not mentioned in the first 10. That'll keep it simple.
