This is a pretty big remix, like ST a few years ago. I'm hearing things I never heard before. The new mix has propelled this album into my top 3 (it was previously my most hated Pearl Jim album)

by contrast, Ed’s hair had entered a very dry, frizzly, almost fro-ey phase

perhaps there is deeper symbolism to that than we ever realized

contrasting musical forces combining to form one balanced harmony

then eventually Ed saw Dave’s use of VO5 hot oil treatment as a step too far

and he had to remove him
