But we have a relative handful of hostages who are worth more than all of that 1.7 million people somehow.
They could all be handed back safe and sound tomorrow.

Does Israel then step in and assume a humanitarian aid role?

An Israeli raid on the occupied West Bank camp, which led to the death of six Palestinians, also left "devasta-tion" behind, after military bulldozers destroyed roads and other vital infrastructure, says Faisal Salama, who heads the committee that provides services to residents.
Salama told Al Jazeera the army destroyed all the entry points to the camp and closed them using earth mounds and other barriers. It also demolished five houses and detained more than 50 Palestinians.
