I might have seen Goonies and Princess Bride 12 times, too. Maybe Big Trouble too. Good picks.

I watched Big Trouble for the first time a few weeks ago. Goddamn, what a picture. Just pure insanity from start to finish.

twelve is a good number for this, because you really do have to return to something almost obsessively to get to twelve views. there's a bunch of movies I considered but then I did the math and I realized I'd probably only seen them six or eight times max.
I'd estimate I've seen the Matrix almost forty times

Forty times is concerning.

Steve Albini wrote:Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

~six times a year between the ages of 13-19, maybe two or three times in my early twenties, once a year at least (most years) since then. that's coming up on forty
