Here is my setlist (games I loved most from each console):
NES - This is one of my two favorite eras. I could easily pick 15-20 more games I adored.
Ninja Gaiden
Bionic Commando
Contra
Baseball Stars
Super Mario Bros. 2
SNES - I was not into video games during this era. I bought it at the tail end to play 4 titles, and I never even got to one of them (Castlevania 4).
Zelda: A Link to the Past
Super Metroid
Super Mario World
N64 - Got into this one late as well. I still have almost 20 games, but I really only played 5 and enjoyed 4.
Goldeneye
Mario Kart 64
Ocarina of Time
Mario 64
Majora’s Mask is probably my least favorite Zelda experience.
GameCube - This is my other favorite era. These 5 had the most impact on me. I’d say the Resident Evil remake or Tony Hawk 3 was first off the bench. Or Super Monkey Ball.
Mario Golf Toadstool Tour
Eternal Darkness
SSX Tricky
Timesplitters 2
Animal Crossing
Wii - Never loved this era. My selections feel boring.
Resident Evil 4
Mario Galaxy
Mario Galaxy 2
Twilight Princess
Skyward Sword
Wii U - I did buy one. I played just two games on it, and I played both again on the Switch.
Mario Kart 8
Breath of the Wild
Switch - I wish they’d forgo the handheld bullshit for a more powerful console. I never play handheld.
Mario Odyssey
Zelda Tears
Mario Golf
Super Mario Wonder
I guess Mario Kart 8 DLC
I won’t do handheld systems. I used them for Zelda - A Link Between Worlds has been the best of them - and Tetris.
Nintendo - Eras Tour

Re: Nintendo - Eras Tour
I’ve had several non-nintendo machines as my main console (C64, Amiga, Megadrive, Playstation, Xbox 360), so my experience is less enconpassing.
NES - played at a friend’s house a few times. Mostly Super Mario games. Have played them again on later consoles.
SNES - loved Mario Kart, and played for 100 hours+ at my neighbours house.
N64 - only played N64 games on later consoles, never even once have I tried a N64.
Gamecube - bought a used one when I was a student. Cost $300, but had 20+ games including all the major ones, and four controllers. Again I loved playing Mario Kart. My ex took everything from the Gamecube when we broke up in 2007.
WII - New Super Mario Bros. Wii was my favorite, but played Mario Kart the most.
WII U - have never tried this one.
Switch - first Nintendo console where I’ve had 100+ games. So many great ones.
Civ 6
FM
FIFA
Super Mario Wonder
Super Mario Maker 2
Super Smash Bros
Pinball FX
New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe
Super Mario Odyssey
Only play the Switch handheld.
Have had a couple of earlier nintendo handhelds, with some limited playing.

100% yes ref the Handheld systems--loved Nintendo for years through the N64 era but can't get into last few gen's. I can't argue the fact that Nintendo has no problem maintaining their share of the market but I'd love to see them produce a console with their classic game catalog on par with the power of a PS / Xbox

I wish it was more powerful too, but the hybrid feature of the Switch is the best part about it.

Re: Nintendo - Eras Tour
Absolutely. If you have some genuine free time (not "burdened" by watching the kids, or serious adult conversation), but you don't have access to gaming on the tv, whether it's at home when someone else is using the tv, or if you are travelling, you can always pull out the switch.
