What movies are you watching?

2023's been tougher for me to stay on top of every movie I want to watch.
Finally watched "The Covenant" and loved it... Underrated/Overlooked perhaps?

I felt pretty good about it most of the way through, but it felt a little rushed or incomplete in the end, as a whole.

I had a couple of legit jump scares, I really liked the way they shot all the action sequences.

I was pleasantly surprised by the action sequences too. Not usually a Guy Ritchie fan. I feel like if he cared more or something his movies could be so much better.

Jacob Elordi is a good actor, very compelling. Barry Keoghan is also a good actor, and he has a beautiful body. But Saltburn is a mostly insufferable movie

Firing up The Sting. I've been dying to see this since I saw Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.

Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

I goddamn love Funny Farm. But I also haven't seen it in years. It may not hold up. But god I remember just loving the fuck out of that thing. Hating Chevy might actually work in your favor here, though. The character in the movie is a giant dick and I don't think you're supposed to "like" him. It's more of an "Almost Sunny" type comedy, where you're meant to find humor and joy in how shitty he is.
