Meh.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

I bought Judgement Night, Beach Boys Christmas, and Flaming Lips in Boston.

While I didn’t attend, they shared a bill with Beck; the two artists also did an unannounced private show the night before at The Paradise, with attendees being limited to VIPs, industry insiders, and some WBCN ticket winners.

The private show fell on the same night as Brad’s appearance in the main room of the same club, which I did have a ticket for. On a whim, I got there early, and security was lax enough that I was able to slip into the private Lips/Beck show just as the last couple songs were wrapping up. It was followed by a catered event. I hung out with Wayne Coyne for a good five minutes eating hors d’oeuvres and shooting the shit. (It was the second of three times I’d met the guy, and he was always exceptionally pleasant and normal, despite ample later evidence that he’s probably an asshole creep). I didn’t get to meet Beck.

I was then able to amble next door for the Brad show, which slayed.

One of those fun nights when I was arrogant enough to sneak into a show, had enough flexibility and freedom that I would just buy a single ticket, smoke a joint, and treat myself to a night out in Boston. To be 21 again…
If i would have known you had met Wayne Coyne, i would have asked him about you when i met him! We do at lesat share the same STD's now by hanging with him im sure.

Well, I mean, their recent efforts are kinda wobbly, sure.
But I saw them live this year and their show is still top notch for me.

Is it still the same show they’ve been doing since like 2002?

I bought this, and I don't know who put it together, but it's put together very poorly.

It's not the sound, but the songs aren't isolated. They seem to have just pulled the songs out of the video with whatever spoken parts happened to be at either end of the song.

I thought it was going to be the full audio of the show, but it's not, and it's not a clean soundtrack either.

Pfft!

Just ordered the Red vinyl version of Guts because it has the bonus track, Obsession, which Olivia wrote/recorded with Annie Clark. :heartbeat:

She's not wrong!

No, but seriously, that's cool. I still can't believe she has any idea who I am. So bizarre.

Did y'all work on something together?
