Great list. I’d probably just swap out Pilate and Lukin for Who You Are and Present Tense.

Tough question mostly because I have a hard time seeing the connective tissue between those albums sonically. One feels like a warm but muddied struggle to find a sonic identity (and yet brilliant at the same time), while the other seems clearer in focus and tone, like they found the space they had searched in vain for on the prior album. Like conflict and then conflict resolved. I’ll still engage in the exercise though:

Tracklist for No Yield:

(1) Given to Fly
(2) Hail Hail
(3) Brain of J
(4) Do the Evolution
(5) Smile
(6) Red Mosquito
(7) No Way
(8) Push Me Pull Me
(9) Faithfull
(10) In My Tree
(11) MFC
(12) In Hiding
(13) Present Tense
(14) All Those Yesterdays
the transition from given to fly to hail hail would still give me a jump scare.
To this day I’m conditioned to brace for the jump scare

(1) Given to Fly
(2) Who You Are
(3) Hail Hail
(4) Do the Evolution
(5) Brain of J
(6) Faithful
(7) Wishlist
(8) MFC
(9) In My Tree
(10) Red Mosquito
(11) Present Tense
(12) In Hiding
(13) Smile
(14) All Those Yesterdays
** Hail Hail Hummus

I always thought Given To Fly would make an excellent opener. I’m sad I couldn’t fit Around The Bend or Off He Goes into this list. I like them even more than Smile, but I think Smile just fits better in this list.

I have Hail Hail twice; the second time replacing hummus as the secret track for the ultimate jump scare.

I can’t understand how y’all have done Wishlist dirty.

Probably not the exact tracklist order, but if I could only keep one collected record from that era it might look like this

Sometimes
Brain of J
No Way
In My Tree
Happy When I’m Crying
Do the Evolution
Sunburn
Smile
Pilate
Lukin
Mankind
Dead Man
Around the Bend
(patriotic choking noises)

I have no idea what the tracklist would be but....

Hail Hail
In My Tree
Smile
Off He Goes
Red Mosquito
Lukin
Sunburn
No Way
Given to Fly
Do The Evolution
Low Light
MFC
In Hiding
All Those Yesterdays

Would be the songs I'd want to include.

Your list is invalid. There is no Brain of J on it

There's a lot of notable omissions, but to be honest, I'm not seeing any bad songs on anyone's list.

I was hoping that omitting it would make chud come back.

I tried the order above; it’s jarring AF. The track list below actually works beautifully IMO. The only awkward transition is hail hail to faithful and that’s only because of the intro to faithful is meant to transition from BOJ

1. GTF
2. BOJ
3. Hail Hail
4. Faithful
5. Who You Are
6. Wishlist
7. Smile
8. MFC
9. DTE
10. Red Mosquito
11. In My Tree
12. Present Tense
13. In Hiding
14. All Those Yesterdays

It actually works really nicely too transition wise, smooth. But a little up and down energy wise. I really like the BOJ > Hail Hail back to back

I'm listening to Light Grenades by Incubus and I hear the WWS riff in "A Kiss To Send Us Off"

I hear it too. It’s been at about ten years since I’ve listened so thanks for reminding me how much I enjoy Quicksand, Dig and Paper Shoes.

Oil and Water is another i like from that album. After that everything they did was awful for me until 8, which i love.

the only thing I don't like about 8 is the production, Skrillex turned that bass drum up so loud it hurts my ears; someone should have told him to chill, they aren't programmed dubstep drums
