There is an eagle in me and a mockingbird . . . and the eagle flies among the Rocky Mountains of my dreams and fights among the Sierra crags of what I want . . . and the mockingbird warbles in the early forenoon before the dew is gone, warbles in the underbrush of my Chattanoogas of hope, gushes over the blue Ozark foothills of my wishes—And I got the eagle and the mockingbird from the wilderness.

what kind of computer will you get to use? what are the requirements for the job?

will you have to type in a number sequence, followed by hitting an execute button?

guys, you must know by now that I'm not capable of anything productive or contributory to society. I don't know how to do anything real. Other people will produce the widgets and I will be playing with the data and the documents that they generate as a by-product

I have resigned to the fact I will never be much of a contributor to society professionally. Though I did spend a couple years in the military, which is a small point of pride in a way. But I'm happy with my salary and I'm proud of the boys I'm raising. And I get to enjoy them and my wife for a while until I die. Maybe one day I can afford to put together a proper studio and record my album, and some people will get something from that. One dreams sometimes.
