So Avatar 2 is better thenJorge wrote:Wow this SUCKED hahaha. I'm kind of shocked at how bad this was, and I don't think it looked especially good. It's impressive if they really made it for that budget (I am skeptical) but it was just a very flimsily written, extremely cliché Lone Wolf and Cub story with some basic Asimov shit, every turn of which can be easily predicted far in advance, and which looks fairly generic in terms of its filmmaking. Bad bad bad

I’ll finish the rest later but this is bad.
Two movies in a row with Sturgill Simpson, who shouldn’t pursue acting.

I was excited about this because of Gareth Edwards but I also didn’t like it at all. I’m not convinced John David Washington is leading man material.

In an ironic twist, I’m convinced AI penned this stupid screenplay.

Re: The Creator
Loved the aesthetic, but yes the screenplay and lead were bang average. I'm surprised so many of you are offended by this movie's existence, though, considering your comic book movie diets.

Re: The Creator
Both bad movies, but there's a dopey charm to The Marvels (mainly Iman Vellani) that elevates it slightly from this self serious slop

Re: The Creator
Also, Jorge has a voodoo doll of the lead actor, which seems a little excessive.
