I was talking to him about this in a different context, but when it comes to a big work event and there’s something else you would rather do … what happens if you are legitimately sick and cannot physically be there. The event somehow goes on without you, and you get back to work a few days later.

Now the same thing but you’re not actually deathly ill, you just call in and say that you are.

What’s gonna happen? You’ll go to your concert and the work event will march on. It will be fine.

I have so many days accumulated over the past 21 years at the same place that I could miss the rest of the year with pay if I was legitimately sick. Missing opening teacher days wouldn’t bother me. I could claim Covid, tbh. Missing days with kids is tougher. I go to school when I shouldn’t a lot because I know it will be a lost day if I don’t.

I'm guessing they are still finalizing the US dates and want to announce them at all the same time.

The dates aren't great but I want to go to another show in the northeast. I've never seen them in a baseball stadium before. Everything else equal, should I? Or should I do an arena show?
