Eileen.

Really enjoyed it. Very different experience from the book. But rewarding still. Hathaway is a force.

Blizzard of Souls

Latvian WW1 movie. Follows a 16 year old boy on the battlefield. His mother is first killed by German soldiiers, and he and his father enlists in the Russian army shortly thereafter. Events happen, and he later fights the Russians in the Latvian war of independence.

Was a massive box office success in Latvia, and it is an interesting well made movie. Really shows the brutality of war.

Rewatched Long Shot earlier today, and it was both better and funnier than I remembered.

Now I'm watching Hereditary. I guess maybe it will be ok if I don't sleep tonight.

I wasn't interested in this when it was released, but looking at it now I think I might give it a shot. It's got a good cast.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Leave the world behind.

It’s not a good movie at all. Esmail is obsessed with moving the camera all the time with no reason.

But the cast is alright and the ending was good.

Yes. Horror that could actually happen is more frightening than the zombie/ghost/vampire/possession stuff usually seen in theaters.

I watched this last night and really enjoyed it. Was hoping that they'd land the ending given everythig that took place during the film, and I thought the ending was great

I'm four and a half minutes into it and I don't know if I'm going to make it through this one. That Julia Roberts line to the camera before the cut to the credits was so painful, I'm dying. Like cringe-y painful. What was that?

And then it said "Executive Producers Barack & Michelle Obama" which also makes me feel weird.

ugh, we'll see how long I last with this one
