Talking to Mrs and Youngest about seeing it today. Told them it was subtitled and they both said no. Not going. Even tho Youngest doesn’t watch ANYTHING at home without subtitles on she doesn’t want to see this movie because it’s subtitled.

I may just go by myself.

I don’t think it is. I’m watching a movie, not reading a book. I think subtitles take away from the visuals and you may miss visual cues while trying to read character dialog

I watched squid game with the over dub and had no issues. I like watching the characters reactions and probably would have missed a lot reading subtitles.

I obviously prefer not having to use subs but they’re fine. The thing that I can’t stand is the trend among young people to never watch anything without captions, even if it’s their native language and they’re watching at a normal volume. It’s like some kind of psychological crutch for them.
