Re: 2024 Tour Rumors and Speculation
I have not seen them in a baseball stadium, but no chance it is better than an arena show - and if these are correct rumors, MSG is the way to go. Many great shows there, even if the sound has historically been a bit lacking.

Arena shows are technically a better environment to see a concert sound wise etc, but stadium shows are an awesome experience too. Really cool energy.liebzz wrote:I have not seen them in a baseball stadium, but no chance it is better than an arena show - and if these are correct rumors, MSG is the way to go. I have seen a few shows the last few years at MetLife in the Meadowlands, and both Springsteen and McCartney put on great shows, but I would still say give me an arena over a stadium. It’s not just sound, but it seems the overall experience and the energy contained to an indoor space I think is better. I mean generally the smaller the better, though probably my favorite are the small theaters because they are designed for shows versus say a small bar where there’s just an awkwardness to the set up.spike wrote:Arena shows are technically a better environment to see a concert sound wise etc, but stadium shows are an awesome experience too. Depends on the weather and crowd. I prefer an arena show, but GA for the Wrigley show in 2018 was awesome. Perfect evening with tons of energy.

my 50th birthday will be in 2024 so I'm thinking a good gift to myself would be my first " on the road" concert. Fly/drive and get a hotel, see a show, and come home. Never done that before.

I'm in a similar boat here in New Orleans. School schedule makes most of these impossible, and the few I could make, I can't afford to fly and stay there.daft twat wrote:These “rumors” will be facts soon, and they blow for me as a teacher in Minnesota.
Seattle would have been choice one because my kids have never been there. That’s the last week of school here. Can’t do it.
I’ve been to all 5 Wrigley shows thus far, but this is during opening teacher days. Can’t do it.
Love MSG, but that’s the first week of school. Can’t do it.
I’d like to get to a show, but it’s looking grim.
In general, how do you travel for shows as a teacher? I can basically never afford it. Does Minn just pay a lot better? I make just over 50k with a Master's and almost 20 yrs of experience. Not trying to find out your salary, just trying to get a sense of how people pull this off.

Well, that was the rumoured list. The first two shows that got announced today (Madrid, Lisbon) were on that list... Let's just assume they will announce soon and that most of that list is correct...

Re: 2024 Tour Rumors and Speculation
Thanks. This is kinda what I want to know. The whole purpose of going to a northeastern show to me is for the experience/atmosphere/energy stuff. I've seen them in Philly and MSG and both were amazing arena shows. I think the stadiums could be really cool, just wondering with the immense size and how far we'll probably be, etc., how it affects the experience.spike wrote:Arena shows are technically a better environment to see a concert sound wise etc, but stadium shows are an awesome experience too. Re: 2024 Tour Rumors and Speculation
The first time I saw a concert at Fenway I felt like it was a cool experience, but every show since then I just feel like I wish this concert was at any other venue in mass other than this one.4/5 wrote:The dates aren't great but I want to go to another show in the northeast. I've been to all the Wrigley shows so far (likely gonna skip next year though) and after having to get sandwiched in like a sardine for hours at two of the five, yeah... weather man.Monkey_Driven wrote:Depends on the weather and crowd. Re: 2024 Tour Rumors and Speculation
I'm disappointed for it to be at Fenway again. I know that Suffolk Downs is being re-opened as a venue, but at 8,500 capacity I guess it's not realistic for Pearl Jam.numbers wrote:The first time I saw a concert at Fenway I felt like it was a cool experience, but every show since then I just feel like I wish this concert was at any other venue in mass other than this one.4/5 wrote:The dates aren't great but I want to go to another show in the northeast.
