Being able to binge the first two seasons in like a day and a half was such an experience. Waiting a week for a new episode is agonizing.

Season 4 is apparently already in the can. Hallelujah.

Yeah, there was already a trailer for Season 3 when Season 2 was finished. I wouldn’t be surprised if Season 4 showed up late next summer.

I’ve thought about reading the books, but I’m not sure how close they run to the show, and if it’s just the same material, I’m not sure I’d like to read it all again. Maybe in a few years.

Ditto. I was mulling over going to the bookstore tomorrow and buying all of them.

I did fire up Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy immediately after finishing the latest ep tonight. Jarringly different tone and jarringly different Oldman but it scratched the spy itch while waiting for the next episode.

Lamb might be one of the best characters ever on a tv show.

Yeah it was clear pretty early that this was going to be a two-part finale. As Ensign said, waiting is agony, if I could go right to the next episode I’m sure it’d be killer.

Started this last night. Good first episode. I’m a sucker for British spy stuff already so it’s hitting me just right.

Season 3 Finale:
Spoiler: show
I knew the season was building up to Lamb telling Standish about Partner. I’m kind of shocked that he didn’t tell her the ACTUAL big secret. Overall I liked the season, but my favorite part of the finale was Lamb’s trickery out at the farmhouse, the shootout at the archives just wasn’t that engaging to me, although the characters are still amazing.
Season 4 trailer:
Spoiler: show
Hugo Weaving!

I’d say season 3 was a slight step down from the previous two. The siege was well executed but felt a little off for this show. I also had a really hard time buying MI5 would just kill their own.

Also, I think having to wait a week between episodes actually hurts the show. Less time to think about flaws when you’re hammering through episodes back to back.

Excited for season 4.

I think they need to make these seasons 8 episodes.

Just finished Season 2. Liked it even better than the first. Russians make such great bad guys.

When the bus was driven through the house and Lamb says “Can you take us through your thinking on that?”
