Every performance is wonderful. Great writing. Feels like a film I'll come back to a lot in future.
This looks promising. I've been a fan of Jeffrey Wright ever since he showed up on Boardwalk Empire.
He really knocks it out of the park here.

That part with the oil tanker was pretty cool.

Should I rewatch Annihilation?

I remember it being an ok sci-fi movie, but I keep seeing people raving about it.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

I liked everything about it. I liked the story. I liked Natalie Portman. I liked the visuals and the horror imagery. I liked the brooding, dreamlike state of it. I liked that screaming bear thing.

The book is really solid. The movie (because it tried to condense three books into one, apparently) is not great.

Both superior to their novelizations due to Tessa Thompson's cute face.

I agree the visuals were very good. The plot was goofy as hell.
I take the opposite view

I remember the CGI and story both being mediocre.
