I still haven't seen Jesse James, either, but vice to my nuts I'd probably go with Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

My favorite thing about him is he supposedly has face blindness, or "prosopagnosia". But I think it's really just an excuse to ignore people. I use it too but people don't believe me.

- No wonder he thinks he can do literally anything with the reception he got for doing this
-This makes me think that conductors are not actually necessary if they can play it perfectly fine with Tom doing that

Is he fake conducting or really doing it? I can't tell the difference.

I'm general, are ya'll more in favor of recasting actors, or writing off the character?

I'm team re-cast, in general.
But it all depends on the demands of the story. Leia is a great example. I still wish they would have just re-cast Carrie in Rise of Skywalker.
But if the story is done with the character I don't see any issue writing them off.

The recast is tricky. It has to be really well done.
And its not just getting a great actor, for example, i dont think about Julianne Moore as clarice starling at all, and she is a great great actress but it was impossible to erase the fact that she was not Jodie Foster playing her.

Re: Post Random Movie-Related Thoughts You Have
I saw Iron Claw at an Alamo Drafthouse today (not Joe's beloved local location, so maybe he'll say they have it figured out better elsewhere). I really didn't dig the experience. When I walked in I stopped at the concierge desk and I told the guy I'd never been there before and asked where I should show my ticket. (He told me that I never needed to show my ticket, which I found odd and which proved to not be true because no less than two people in the next three minutes asked to see my ticket, but that's beside the point).
A big part of the spiel he then gave me was how they pride themselves on a great movie experience and god forbid anyone should text or talk because they will throw those bastards out. Boy do they hate phones over there.
But the experience all by itself is a distraction. Every single seat has a little light on it that never turns off. I suppose it's so you can write your food and drink order, but it's distracting.
And there's a bunch of waiters walking around all the time. Like, constantly. Every few minutes some guy was walking directly in front of me. They duck down for no reason. It doesn't matter if you're six feet tall or four feet tall as you walk past me. I am sitting down. I can see you.
And then they tell the person what they ordered as they deliver the thing. Just put it down. And they walk around 45 minutes before the end of the movie with a "last call" sign and show it to every person. It's awkward.
Also, now I got to listen to some guy eat a hamburger and wipe his mouth with the loudest, scratchiest paper napkin known to man. Hamburgers are not movie food.
So, OK,fine, have a movie theatre restaurant thing. That's a fine option/experience. But cut the bologna about priding yourself on a great movie-watching experience. It's inherently not that in a way you can't ever get around.
Just a distracting experience. I like being able to bring a (NA/AF) pint into the movie, but all this is too much.

I think Baylan Skoll should be recast, but Leia in the final movie of a trilogy would not work. it would be too distracting. She was too iconic.epilogue wrote:I'm team re-cast, in general.

Guaranteed it would have worked better than what we got, which was embarrassing and awful

Both epilogue and I thought the movie was good.
