While they are still a band? No.

If they break up? Well, maybe in the distant future, they will lighten up about everything. I think if anything, it would be in some kind of written account and not filmed.

It was really disappointing how they just brushed over Dave's period in the band in PJ20. I can kind of understand not discussing the drummer debate. But, they didn't interview him (nor Jack, for that matter). And, there's what - a couple of side angle back shots of him playing drums?
yeah it was a letdown... both of them should had been there talking about their phases in PJ.
I even understand if Dave A didn't want to participate. Maybe there's still hard feelings, which is understandable. I wish they would have discussed him more. Not the conflicts, necessarily, just that he, you know, existed.

But it's weird that Jack isn't really in it. I really don't get that.

maybe no Jack as a way to not boldly point out they werent mentioning Dave? instead of leave out 1 drummer they could just leave out all off them except the current one

Exactly. But, I forget, was Krusen interviewed? There's a decent amount of footage of him.

Nope, none of the previous drummers were interviewed for the film - but there's lots of Cornell, for whatever reason.

I can't imagine any of them would have refused to have been interviewed, they all seem fairly about their time in Pearl Jam these days, even Dave Abbruzzese.

There's no (new) interviews with anyone outside the band except Cornell. That's the most disappointing thing. A "documentary" should at least get some perspectives of people outside the band. No crew interviews. No family. No Neil. No Bruce. Cat Power. Kiedis. Even those interviews with the Strokes and Arcade Fire would have livened things up a bit and shown the band's significance to the next generation. The thing with SVT is that it is really about the band in their environment so it makes sense that it is only the band. With PJ20 you expect other people to talk about them - or even past members of the band - it makes the whole thing pretty boring. Even though I am no fan of U2 I would have liked to see Bono talk about his experience of Ed when things were blowing up or Michael Stipe thought or what anyone of any musical significance thought. The best we get from Cornell is "Pearl Jam stay together".
While a Western guitar motif lost on the swings drum bass fusion, get your own thoughts into the subconscious often forgotten. "Pendulum" is a sweeping soul from the ballast.

i love SVT but it's funny, if you watch the EPK for Backspacer, it sort of attempts to do the same thing as SVT but in a shorter time. Everything about SVT, the songs, the warehouse, the interviews, are better better than that EPK. Random thought i thought i'd throw in.

the backspacer epk was still pretty cool though.

I agree the single thing I was most disappointed about was the lack of other voices besides cornell. The documentary was obviously a love letter to the band, which I was fine with, and so I don't necessarily mind the exclusion of the drummers, etc. But I would have loved to hear from other people

I think we all know dave's phase with the band, What they have him do? Come in and say? "yeah ed, did't like me, so he had stone fire me over breakfast" That's pretty much it.

Funny I just googled that too. I still don't know what EPK means, but I remember watching this. They did something similar for Avocado too.
