Ferrari also a good time. Give it all the technical awards and give Penelope Cruz an Oscar

I was lukewarm on it but tempted because of Driver. Knowing both he and Cruz are in it, I feel like it's jumped into MUST territory.

Let's all go together on Christmas morning. I'll sneak in some Christmas cookies.

Leave the World Behind
I enjoyed this a lot more than expected. That isn't to say it's good -- the writing was dumb and required entirely too much suspension of disbelief, but I was entertained. In the end it felt like a slightly less ridiculous/shitty M. Night movie.

I watched the only Zack Snyder movie that I have any interest in today - Dawn of the Dead. It was an enjoyable experience and I don't want to taint it.E.H. Ruddock wrote:Everyone hyped for Rebel Moon tonight

Re: What movies are you watching?
Wonka was fun. Charming if uneven. There aren't a ton of stakes but it's a kind and funny film. Good cast. One or two really great moments that expand the mythology in a rewarding way. Also some unnecessary callbacks. Overall, I enjoyed it
Poor Things. Overlong in the middle act. Great performances by everyone not named Ruffalo (dude is unreal bad and so far out of his depth I can't believe it). Stone and Dafoe deliver two of the best performances I've seen this year. It's a complicated movie with a lot to say. Fully understand why some hate it.

Watched and enjoyed Saltburn. I went in completely blind and it mostly kept me pretty off balance. There were some big laughs and some very uncomfortable scenes.

I liked Wonka quite a lot and I really didn't expect to. I might see Poor Things tomorrow.

Re: What movies are you watching?
This is not the main reason I disliked this movie, but it is one problem I had with it. There is no big reveal, but there is a montage that is played back to us like it's a big reveal. It's an odd moment in the movie, to meepilogue wrote:What's "the big reveal"?tommy wrote:Watched and enjoyed Saltburn. I went in completely blind and it mostly kept me pretty off balance.
