a bunch of comedians like bill burr and co. are bombing for this PETA event, none of the crowd is into it at all, and when Bill Burr is bombing patrice is laughing at him in the back the whole time, and burr can hear it and thinks "ha, you're going to bomb too when it's your turn, asshole!" .. when it is patrice's turn he just talks real quiet and casual about cooking a puppy in a skillet for dinner until the crowd gets upset and threatens to kick him off stage and he doesn't budge. even when they cut his mic he just starts playing piano, and he doesn't know how to play piano

Nick Mullen's latest special, Year of the Dragon, is hilarious. Very dark and edgy, as is to be expected. But he goes after everyone -- like a more unhinged Shane Gillis.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

I know I’m late to this, but add me to the Matt Rife haters list. Awful.

I saw a clip of his stand-up. He had a bit that was like "man I realized how unfair it is to be this handsome ha ha"

That was it. No punchline.

He is not meant for any of us. No idea why any of you would watch. There is so much good comedy out there.

Joe List is fantastic by the way. Watch all of his last 3 specials on YouTube.

That's literally not stand-up comedy.

Why is "crowd work" (most of it isn't even really crowd work, tbh) so prevalent on social media clips? I do not get it

Comedians usually do crowd work when they're out of material, or their prepared material is bombing. It's a big, lazy fad.

I also hate crowd work. If your name is not Dave Attell don't do it.

Because it’s new “material” that’s not part of the main show. They don’t want to give away the scripted stuff as that goes into a special down the line.
