I hosted my fam for dinner and made the obligatory facetime call to my weird sister in Idaho. Winning.

I’m trying to convince Mrs. Bam to let me have a football game party on January 1st and I’m definitely not taking down the decorations before then.

I did not get one thing that I asked for. I got different variations on a couple things but nothing exact.

There is a hog in me . . . a snout and a belly . . . a machinery for eating and grunting . . . a machinery for sleeping satisfied in the sun—I got this too from the wilderness and the wilderness will not let it go.

There is an eagle in me and a mockingbird . . . and the eagle flies among the Rocky Mountains of my dreams and fights among the Sierra crags of what I want . . . and the mockingbird warbles in the early forenoon before the dew is gone, warbles in the underbrush of my Chattanoogas of hope, gushes over the blue Ozark foothills of my wishes—And I got the eagle and the mockingbird from the wilderness.

O, I got a zoo, I got a menagerie, inside my ribs, under my bony head, under my red-valve heart—and I got something else: it is a man-child heart, a woman-child heart: it is a father and mother and lover: it came from God-Knows-Where: it is going to God-Knows-Where—For I am the keeper of the zoo: I say yes and no: I sing and kill and work: I am a pal of the world: I came from the wilderness.

There were two things I didn’t get that I asked for but that’s because they haven’t been released yet. One was released yesterday and the other will be next Wednesday.

There’s a lot of people trying to pull off alpha moves in Wease’s family lately, but this is the real alpha move, asking for things that are impossible.

Lol the weather guy on the local news this morning was talking about some sun breaks and said it would be a good day to take down your holiday decorations. The way he said it with such muted vitriol and the look in his eyes, you just know he was talking directly to one of his neighbors directly through the TV screen.

My man. There are still some Neanderthals in my neighborhood that haven’t taken them down yet.
