I can understand someone finding Priscilla boring if they're looking for a different type of movie. I was primed for exactly this and I really vibed with it. Very beautiful and indulgent

Watching Parasite now. Been nearly three years since the first time I saw it.

I enjoy the movie as one of the better ones from 2019, but I’m still a bit baffled by all the greatest ever reviews.

1917 now. Been looking forward to this. My number one movie for 2019 the first time I saw it.

Wonderful movie. I try not to get wrapped into thinking about the realism of his whole journey. Certainly war is crazy anyway.

Amazing sequences and cinematography.

Now starting Sound Of Metal. Final planned rewatch from 2019, still have 60 movies from 2019 I have not seen before. January will be filled by those.

Very pleased with the movies I’ve seen today and this past week. Have rearranged my top ten of 2019 a little bit, with Obce Upon A Time In Hollywood now rising to third. Connected a little better with me this time. A great movie for repeated viewings.

Sly.

It was entertaining. I forgot about Sage, damn. It was nice to see Cop Land get a shout out. I need to see it again, it’s been a long time.

What a career and what a presence. I love him.

I saw Saltburn yesterday.

I enjoyed it.

I would've said the ending montage was totally unnecessary but then I looked online and people (somehow) needed it to understand what was going on, so I guess there's something to be said for having low expectations of your audience.

Steve Albini wrote:Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.
