Okay, seriously, am I gonna like this movie? I tend to really dislike Snyder's stuff (I think Watchmen is the only movie of his I've even kinda liked) but I adore Star Wars and these big epic fantasy/adventure movies. I'm so torn!

The Kurosawa movie Star Wars is typically said to be based around is Hidden Fortress. This is explicitly a Seven Samurai plot, which I do not mean to level as a criticism. Seven Samurai plot is a standard cinematic framing at this point. A Bug's Life is a seven samurai plot
