Ed is definitely not the star of this one. As far as modern day Ed shouting songs, I don't think this one calls for him to hold it for so long he sounds like he's blown a gasket (DTE, blood, gonna see my friend, stbc, etc). Ed's delivery doesn't bother me on this.
