Re: Talk About The Weather
-21 Celsius today, that's -5.8 Fahrenheit for you Americans. It didn't feel that bad after I put on 3 layers of clothes. Tomorrow and the day after that it's going to be colder, like -28 Celsius.

There is an eagle in me and a mockingbird . . . and the eagle flies among the Rocky Mountains of my dreams and fights among the Sierra crags of what I want . . . and the mockingbird warbles in the early forenoon before the dew is gone, warbles in the underbrush of my Chattanoogas of hope, gushes over the blue Ozark foothills of my wishes—And I got the eagle and the mockingbird from the wilderness.
O, I got a zoo, I got a menagerie, inside my ribs, under my bony head, under my red-valve heart—and I got something else: it is a man-child heart, a woman-child heart: it is a father and mother and lover: it came from God-Knows-Where: it is going to God-Knows-Where—For I am the keeper of the zoo: I say yes and no: I sing and kill and work: I am a pal of the world: I came from the wilderness.

Re: Talk About The Weather
I've been saying for the past 3 winters how it doesn't make sense to buy skis and start cross-country skiing again because there won't be any snow next year. Well it's like a fourth good winter in a row over here, and I have perfect ski trails like a half a mile from my place... Summers are getting increasingly uncomfortable over here because the temperature just keeps rising. I like winter more than summer, but fall is definitely my favorite season. Anyways, can't wait to walk to work tomorrow when it's -26.

Re: Talk About The Weather
Been insanely cold here lately, and now finally it's getting a little warmer. Will go from -23c (about -10 F) to +1c (about 34F) from Sunday afternoon to Wednesday afternoon.

You’re right along the line between 1-3” and 3-6” aren’t you? Somewhere between 294 and 355.

Re: Talk About The Weather
Unless it melts by then, looks like I’ll definitely be blowing some snow at our lake place Friday afternoon. Can finally break out my heated gloves and face mask (I always end up facewashing myself when I’m blowing snow).Chris_H_2 wrote:i love snowstorms. and i want nothing more than to fire up my snowblower for the first time in two winters and throwing 6+ inches of wet heart-attack snow.spike wrote:You’re right along the line between 1-3” and 3-6” aren’t you? My sister in WI just spent 40 minutes snowblowing and only cleared half her driveway. I think she’s calling in Mr. Plow.

I had the basketball hoop in our driveway laid down on its side. It still blew into the neighbor's driveway. Crazy windy out there right now.
