I bought BG3 like the minute it was available, but for the past week I’ve been playing nothing but Fallout 76. I am telling myself that I want to finish one more questline before really diving in…we’ll see.

I want to play BG3 to see what all the fuss is about the scope of it intimidates me. I'm not sure I have the time/attention to dedicate to such a complex game.

That would be a good place to start. Honestly, I would skip 1 and go straight to 2. 1 is a great game, but 2 improves upon it in every way.

I just beat Jusant on Game Pass. Nice little game that's very chill. These games speak to me as an old man.

I beat Cocoon. Great game, but just like Limbo and Inside, don't know wtf was happening. Got way too convoluted at the end.

Started Like A Dragon: The Man Who Erased His Name, and it's incredible. The story kicks off right away, and maybe it just comes from playing all the older games, but holy cow, they really upgraded their engine. Game looks great.

Final Fantasy XVI has its hooks in me. There are flaws everywhere, but it loaded with epic moments. The side quests are forgettable, but the characters and overall narrative are enough to keep going.

I just started Act 3. I've put about 65 hours in so far. I'm going to be seriously bummed when I finish it.

I'm nearing the end of Divinity: Original Sin 2 Definitive Edition. It's taken me months. There's no denying it's extremely well made, but it's almost too much game for me these days. God damn is it massive.

Actually, I have no problem dropping 100+ hours on a From Soft/Souls-like. I think CRPGs just zap my energy. Must be all the reading, inventory management and comparing the strength of items. I do get a little carried away with the latter.

I plan to tackle the Horizon: Burning Shores DLC, God of War Valhalla DLC, and Cocoon before even beginning to think about starting BG III.

Horizon DLC was decent, worth playing. Aloy's actress/voice track has become pretty grating to me though, not sure why.

I just finished a new game plus of The Last of Us Part I. Nearly hit 100% of Spider Man 2 before that. Gearing up for the Last of Us Part 2 Remastered coming out at the end of next week. I've also had an itch to replay GoW Ragnarok. I may do that soon as well so I can also then dive into Valhalla...such a memorable game. I also still need to play the RE4 DLC.

Now that I’ve done a few different combat encounters in BG3, I remember how tough it was to switch my brain to start comprehending turn-based strategy when I played something like X-com. I’m having fun, moving very slowly, but still learning the ropes.

I doubt I will get to a replay of TLOU 2 soon, but I'll buy the $10 upgrade to play the new mode. It's the closest thing we will get to a multiplayer and the gameplay is so damn good.

Nearly two weeks later, playing for at least an hour a day, sometimes more (I put in 3 hours last night), and I’m not yet out of Act I. But I might be close?
