"Blue Jasmine". Pretty good.
"Insidious: Chapter 2". Whatever.

I loved the Hellraiser movies when I was a kid. I recently re-watched the first one and was pleasantly surprised by the fact that it wasn't total crap.VinylGuy wrote:I saw the first 4 movies. Wont forget Patricia Arquette and Lisa Wilcox ever.
Have you seen any of the Hellraiser movies? I haven't. I could go for a hellraiser marathon one of these nights.
The second is ok, the third is boring and the fourth one should have been great, but had a lot of problems during production and its final result is a mess.

Its a very good horror movie...the concepts are all very well told. And i dig that the cenobites dont appear that often...it remind me of the use of Freddy in the first Nightmare on elm street movie.turned2black wrote:I loved the Hellraiser movies when I was a kid. Re: What Movies are you watching?
I liked the first one a lot better than the sequel. Everything that was fun and exciting about the first film was absent or scaled way back in part 2. The tension was close to nonexistent, which is fatal for a horror movie. I didn't hate it, but everything was just slightly off.

Watch the thing. My girlfriend and her cousin both said it was even better than the first one, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Re: What Movies are you watching?
i will still check it out, for sure. usually i just like horror movies for a bit of fun but i thought the first one had some genuinely frightening moments and had quite an original premise.

Man of Steel. Best superhero movie I've ever seen. Sorry Nolan, Ledger et al.

Re: What Movies are you watching?
Its much easier to suspend disbelief when the source material features aliens from the planet Krypton. Nolan's batman was well shot and acted but the plot holes are ridiculous.Harry Lime wrote:Soma. wrote:Man of Steel. Best superhero movie I've ever seen.

I have my separate issues with MOS. And you don't need to tell me about Nolan's batman plot holes. I know.
Best superhero movie? I don't know. I haven't seen all of them.

Re: What Movies are you watching?
I'll say that the first hour of Batman Begins is the finest slice out of any superhero movie.
