Watched the first episode last night and everybody had beepers.
You’re thinking of The Wire.
Not at all. The first 20 minutes was everyone responding to their beepers.

I only do a full rewatch of The West Wing and The Sopranos. TWW is like comfort viewing for me, it's so easy to watch.

I need to let more time pass between Sopranos viewings because I really enjoy getting sucked back into that world but I need to pay attention.

I can understand that (comfort viewing). I do it less with tv shows and movies, but often go back to the same game that brings me peace of mind.

Just for the newcomers and to remind the rest of us.

A reminder that the writing and dialogue in west wing is world class. Let it simmer. It doesn’t come out swinging in the first season or first half of the first season at all.

Then you have the character development and individual arcs. Just beautifully done. And beautifully performed each one. You can’t not love each and every one of the main cast. And some of the occasional characters. The interplay and relationships between them when it’s friendly and when it’s fraught, couldn’t ask for better tv.

I wanna rewatch now. Dammit

I have the huge lovely big dvd boxset in presidential navy blue(bet you don’t know what that shade of blue is actually called?) with the White House on the front. All seven seasons.

I just don’t have a tv.
Darn it.

Three episodes in and I’m sold. I’m ready for Bartlet to be our real POTUS.

And the cast is absolutely star studded. Fucking John Amos! Are you kidding me? A young Sterling Brown. Timothy Busfield just showed up. Looking forward to a few months’ worth of being in this world.

I'm excited for you! Seasons 1-4 are untouchable. A shaky season 5 and first few episodes of season 6 let it down a little but then it finds a new groove and it's great again.

We’re

right in the middle of this congressman trying to bring Leo down. There are times when this show is eerily prescient.

Finished S1 this morning. Can’t wait to start S2. What a cliffhanger!

One thing that’s surprised me about the show is the amount of humor it’s contained. And it’s balanced so well against the drama of the show. This program really is top notch. Don’t really know why we didn’t watch this first run.

Seeing Elizabeth Moss and Bradley Whitford in this together AFTER watching Handmaid's Tale is really wild.

I had no idea he was in that!

How far along are you? I actually forgot we were watching this “together.”
