And then it felt like there were way too many commercial break cuts over the rest of the episodes that robbed it of some flow and cohesiveness.

The last scene with Mook/Munch was great but maybe a little too long. (That said, I don't know what I'd cut).

And that final shot...*chefskiss*

Here's hoping Noah's Weyland-Yutani series turns out to be season 6. They could tie in with season 2 by making the Alien pilot the UFO.
Watching this on Hulu without commercials was the right call. It meant waiting a day, but it was worth it.
I watched it on Hulu as well but it was obvious where the commercial cuts were.

Oh. I watched on Hulu and assumed most of those fades were intended to be artistic. That would have been a lot of ads.

I was super annoyed by all the cuts to black during the battle. Just felt like a waste of time, didn't add anything

What is the RM consensus on the best and worst seasons of this show?

Best: 2
Worst: 4

Best is 1 (masterpiece) and worst is 4 (still great). Argo's list is hilariously bad and he should feel bad.

Four is underrated and 1 hews too closely to the movie to be great

I don't really remember anything about 4 except the flashback scenes.

I had soured a bit on the sheriff storyline as this season went along, and I’m not surprised they mopped it up so quickly in episode 5; the last spark of life in that for me was the debate fiasco, which was really Dave Foley’s character’s triumph. So I’m glad we had the extended end with the family and the sin eater, as that held my attention much, much better. Everything between Wayne and Moonk in that final scene was among the funniest stuff of the season.

I’ve been thinking a lot about how the end of this season works as a riff on end of The Big Lebowski, and I really dig it.
