I also think six episodes might be ideal.

6-8 episodes tends to be the sweet spot for anthology series.

I remember I kind of hated this episode the first time I saw it. I think it was because they were making fun of the whole alien/conspiracy thing and I wanted them to take it very seriously. Now, of course, I love it and it's one of the very best episodes of the series.

maybe my most shocked and confused moment of the original run was seeing "Lord Kinbote" in stop-motion animation for the first time

I also took a really long time to come to terms with the X Files spoofing itself, I loved the serious and dark stuff then and still do now; later on down the line they would make some absolute "comedy" garbage but there's a lot of good stuff there earlier

I think the rashomon vampire ep was the first time I thought they veered too far into almost slapstick territory

I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

I was secretly hoping this would be somehow related to Ellen Ripley, and not just a riff on the Talented Mr. Ripley character. Can't win 'em all.

So far its the obvious good looking guy who can also play a gay man. I havent seen it in more stuff tough but her role in Flebag was meh. Too much hype.

I do want to see him in this one, were i hope his Ripley is a fucked up, menacing, and violent as in the books. Well see, but looks good.

Yeah. And overall, it was pretty consistent. There weren’t any real bad seasons.
