Nah, I’ll partake, probably not as much red meat though. If vegan options present themselves that’s great too.wease wrote:You gonna maintain the no meat policy?dad wrote:this will be my second time, wife's first. the last time I went was Dec 2000 with a few friends. we drank day and night, and I ate mostly pub grub, which I'm not mad about.doug rr wrote:ive probably been to London 30 times in my life and I can't recall having fish and chips except for maybe in a pub..but if you want to go all out and spend too much money on seafood go to Scott's..good stuffdad wrote:give us your best fish 'n chips recs so i'll know what to hit up the following month.doug rr wrote:my wife just booked us for London in February for a week or so..

Re: Travel thread
Wiffey and I want to go to Italy for a month in September. Ideally to Rome and then north from there. Mix of trains and driving.
No idea where to start researching where to go specifically or what not to miss.
More into scenery and food and quieter options but for sure will tick off some big ticket tourist attractions as well.
Any thoughts/tips/places to visit from those of you who have some knowledge of Italy?

post-covid it's become lake geneva with more scenery and fewer left-lane hoggers.

Re: Travel thread
My favorite thing we did in Rome was a walking food tour through a not-particularly-touristy neighborhood. We stopped at about 7 different places … an appetizer here, a drink there, a pastry, some cheese, a pizza … it was great, with some education along the way.
