well said, a steady measured opinion from Dime.dimejinky99 wrote:We’re allowed not like it. It can’t all be amazing. If everything is awesome all the time, nothing really is. I hated rogue one and last Jedi at first because they didn’t do what I expected or wanted. I came to love them because of what they are and were doing and it added hugely to Star Wars.
This one just doesn’t do that.
It’s parody. Look at the scene w hux telling them he’s the spy. It’s a pure send up. Almost SNL. That’s just one example.
Anyways I don’t wanna beat it over the head. I just don’t love this one.
There’s a lot to love in it. But as a whole, it’s a catastrophe.

This is much better than The Last Jedi. Not even close.

TLJ & ROTS are good films. Not the best Star Wars films ever made but I’d give them a 7.5/10
Tough to pick which one is better.
ROTS needed an alive Luke to end the story arc. Luke dying in TLJ made no sense to me.

Re: Star Wars: Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker
I re-watched this yesterday.
Its fine. Its certainly actioned packed. Babu Frick MVP.
I liked Palpatines return via cloning and Rey's link to Palps.
Ben vs Kylo is good.
Richard E grant is awesome.
The first 30-40 minutes flies
I understand when some say its a bit of a mess. BUt overall I think most are ot hard on this and last jedi.
Both have excellent moments but also some cringeworthy ones.

Was thinking and at the end of the day I bet Episode 10 will be much better than Nine, so there's that.

Although this movie is awful, the fact that Hux was the mole is kind of hilarious

God I hate this movie so much and that makes me sad.
I'm hate watching it right now. It has everything I love about Star Wars but so on the nose, dumb, terrible writing, and lazy ass fucking story telling. And it's such an obvious interference by corporate.
Everything with Leigh is just an abortion.
