I'm crossing my fingers it's the 30th anniversary tour I've been telling my wife for 18 months needs to happen

I doubt I'll get my wish but I can hope...it's pretty much my only chance of ever hearing Don't Follow live

Looks like it’s just Jar Of Flies, and doesn’t include Sap like the MOV release

I don’t think there’s really anything to include. JoF was written and recorded in like a week kind of on the fly (for lack of a better term). Didn’t even have songs written when they went into the studio and mostly recorded in a take or two

wow, i never knew that. that's actually amazing, those sings are so articulated but also so relaxed, feels like they'd worked them for a while.
Yeah pretty wild. IIIRC, the session was basically right after they fired Mike Starr and hired Inez. And the whole thing was basically to see how well they played and wrote together for the first time.

Didn’t they record those two soundtrack tunes first?

Along with this, another “on the fly” decision was to just put out an EP right then and there without wasting time on 5 more songs to round out an LP.

I’d take a solid EP over an average LP all day *looks at Pearl Jam*

yeah, first thing was those rock in rio shows with Inez and recording the songs for Last Action Hero and then straight to the studio to get Jar Of Flies.
Damn what a brilliant EP this is and what a great moment for the band.

I also love how they went from this energy to the energy depicted on Tripod, one of the most obscures albums i know. Its an album that reeks of death.
