As just a fan of the game, I’m happy with the results.

If the 49ers win it all, is there a better story than Mr. Irrelevant guiding a team to the championship?

If the Chiefs win, I think it puts Mahomes firmly #2 all-time behind Brady and ahead of Elway/Peyton. I know Bradshaw and Montana have more, but the Steelers’ defense was their primary reason for being dominant, and the 49ers were so great that the next man up (Young) also won when Montana left.

The Lions had an incredibly successful season because of and despite their coach. Thanksgiving afternoons are better for the foreseeable future.
