Sorry friend. I was pulling for them. I hope they can not let this affect them next year and come back strong. They always draft well lately as well

Been such a long time since a team from Michigan had any success. Sad.

Bleacher Report says this is the first time a team has come back from down 17 at half to win a conference championship game.

Thinking of you whilst in this time of sorrow, Chris. That was ugly. Why not kick field goals?

The Lions WRs are much more to blame for the loss than Campbell. Only call I disagreed with was not kicking the FG to go up 17 (even though the play worked, the receiver dropped what should have been a conversion). I think the one he's getting killed for was a perfectly defensible call. And good for him not regretting it.

nah, you go for field goals in a game like this, in situations like those, precisely because a player might drop a ball on 4th down.. i couldn't believe it.. i was like "what are they DOING?!"

Agreed to make it a three possession game, but to take the lead instead of playing for a tie at that point in the game I have no issue with. It's risky in the sense that nobody will criticize a coach for taking the points there (also not a 100% proposition) but if it doesn't work he's left himself open to criticism, but the Lions defense couldn't stop the Niners at all in the second half so I like playing for the lead on the road against the better team.

hindsight is 20/20 here; there is no argument.. if they got the field goals, they would have won the game

You're assuming both kicks are made and that the Niners for some reason wouldn't have been capable of scoring 3 to 6 more points than they did.

The fluke catch by Aiyuk, the fumble by Gibbs, the back to back drops on the Lions three and out possession, the dropped TD are all just as big if not bigger reasons they lost than the decisions to go for two fourth downs.

I do hate running on third and goal, though. That was a brutal call.

Early favorite in Vegas is SF, but all of the talking heads are already picking the Chiefs. I'd love to see some of the guys on SF get a ring, and to shut people up about Purdy, but KC has the better Defense and of course the best QB/Receiving duo.
