pearl jam are not promotion heavy but they havent been anti publicity in decades (since yield). you’d like people to know about what you’re doing but there are limits to how much work you’ll put into that awareness
and there target audience are still non hardcore gen xers who need to be reminded that this exists, and this is how things seep into people’s consciousness
This period of time is a ton of fun. I'm fine waiting but I have no idea why they didn't just drop a single or at least an email announcing the new album to coincide with that party.
Going to be pretty funny when the next newsletter is just news about Painted Shield, some random projects the members have been working on, followed by a 'Make sure that your membership details are up to date'
