you know what, I'm done checking for updates for the moment.
Instead of all this I'll go watch some documentaries on serial killers to put my mind at ease.

I'm old... what was the Infallible situation again???jam80 wrote:No, I stopped and now mostly forget what I heard.RockPusher wrote:Day 5 and I am still obsessing over this shit. Anyone else here listening to the second vocaroo mix multiple times a day?
Everyone keeps referencing the Infallible situation but for me this is more like what happened with Backspacer. There were clips of every song on itunes (or amazon? can't exactly remember) before the album came out. I listened to those multiple times and my brain filled in the rest of what the song was going to sound like. Then the album came out and sounded nothing like what I created in my mind and I couldn't get past that. I don't think I was ever gonna love backspacer anyway, but this didn't help.

For the sake of your mental health, I do not recommend this as you may miss out on the announcement!Val wrote:you know what, I'm done checking for updates for the moment.

Re: 12th album rumors and speculation
Prior to LB's release, someone recorded a VERY FAINT and muffled audio clip from a soundcheck where the band played a completely new, unknown song which later turned out to be Infallible.jackcameron wrote: I'm old... what was the Infallible situation again???
The audio quality in the clip was so bad that the only conclusion one could make was that it sounded in the vein of a Tremor Christ type of number. It's heavy strumming signature and tempo seemed to fit the pattern.
Naturally everyone went bonkers proclaiming this new song the best thing since, well, Tremor Christ. Which in turn raised everyone's hopes regarding the upcoming LB album very, very high.
In the end, Infallible turned out to be something that could have been sung by Christina Aguilera.

The way they come out of the main riff is the cheesiest thing I think they've ever done, and I'm including the full band "Sleeping by Myself". If Watt steered them away from choices like that then it'll at least be that much better, even if only slightly.Val wrote:Prior to LB's release, someone recorded a VERY FAINT and muffled audio clip from a soundcheck where the band played a completely new, unknown song which later turned out to be Infallible.jackcameron wrote: I'm old... what was the Infallible situation again???

Re: 12th album rumors and speculation
I know what happens to people who stay home. The walls stare at each other. Look past and inch closer to one another. I see signs I shouldn't. I should be afraid. Stepping out into the freezing tide. In this wide expanse I have room to grow. Before too long I hope to see the silhouette of myself in five years, more capable and wise than I am now. Time is my teacher, if I show up.
