I enjoy that aspect quite a bit. It is not bound creatively to continue some banal overarching story arc just to satisfy people who care about that kind of thing or whatever, and is free to go to some pretty fantastic, novel places on a whim. It makes for a more interesting re-watch, also, because you do forget which moments are in which episodes.
