I'll probably catch some flak for this, but Vampire Weekend announced their new album today, out April 5...two songs to be released next friday, 2/16. They're a well-established indie act. They told their fans months ago that their new album was finished.

why is it so hard for Pearl Jam to do this? Thirty-plus years and they're still being precious with their music. lots of what-if's on random message boards.
