We get wreckage into DM and they’re in that order we now know.

The first clip is almost certainly SOF or R,R.

Maybe the Pink Floyd acoustic clip is won’t tell? This is clip 4.

Clips 5 and 6 are some combo of Upper Hand and Waiting for Stevie.

Running is not on the metal door sessions.

I’ve always thought the country tempo snippet (#7) was something special and I still do. The melody would fit perfectly with a song about parenting.

I think the last clip has got to be Got to Give or Setting Sun. It’s always seemed like a penultimate or closer just based on feel and where you’d put such a track.

Let’s see how close I am come April 19 (or before).
I am aligned with this, with the exception (if this isn't what you meant) that I think clips 5 & 6 are both Waiting For Stevie.

I kind of hope to god that the final clip is Setting Sun, that it turns out to be what I'm imagining it to be, and it's rocketing to the intergalactic as the album ends.

I agree the first clip is either Scared of Fear or React, Respond as well as clip 4 being Won’t Tell. I’m feeling that clips 5 and 6 are the same song (maybe Upper Hand?) Clip 7 the poppier, swingy track being Waiting For Stevie, and the last clip being Running. Of course this is just basing on tracklist order. Who knows the person who posted the clips could have posted them out of order.

it's an abstract composition of tapping sounds (the sound of Ed playing with his iPhone while he waits)

It seems like Waiting For Stevie is NOT the schmaltzy swing song from the leak given the Spin article description and song length. It could be the one before it that was giving me awesome In Hiding vibes. I could see how it could be described as Singles era classic Pearl Jam.

Shame it had to be named Waiting For Stevie.

i really hope it's way hard death metal and loaded with profanity and we come to learn how pissed Ed/Watt were that Mr. Wonder was late

Ah yes I just read that article. So maybe the swing song is Something Special or Got to Give?

Yeah I love the clip that has the Yield/In Hiding vibes. I can’t wait to hear that song even if it is Waiting For Stevie.

Indications say this album is front loaded with rockers so it'll be interesting to see if Dark Matter (track 4) is the end of the run (ie Ten, Backspacer) or it goes long like S/T which had 5 upbeat tracks opening the album.

I'm irrationally worried about Waiting for Stevie. Has the potential to be a really dumb Vedder/Watt in-joke that only two rich guys in a recording studio would think is funny.

Really hard to imagine that a song called Waiting for Stevie, literally written about waiting for Stevie, isnt best placed as a b-side.
