It's a good song. I much preferred DOTC though. Totally not as excited as the previous 45 pages here.

Can't wait to hear how they perform it live and then have to cancel the rest of the shows because one shot his voice and blames it on some forest fires in southern France. Maybe that's the reason they only play 2.5 shows in Europe.

It's nice to have this Eddie back
It’s the same with me and a line in Rearviewmirror lol
which one?
It’s the “I couldn’t breathe, holding me down” line.
Whatever he is saying, it’s NOT “I couldn’t breathe”.

DOTC is untouchable. Holy. Sacred. It’s in a hall of fame of its own.

On the Gigaton / Dark Matter albums rankings, I think this song is in the top five at least. DOTC is excellent, it might top those rankings.

Varmints path...
Sometimes think this is the best PJ song of all time outside Release.
Though RVM is close.
But as it is will dream of her tonight..

It's a good song.

Needs a Boom solo live to be epic.

This sounds good. Pearl Jam capturing some of that early energy without it sounding forced. It was said earlier but the performances are top notch. Ed sits in a good place considering where his voice is at these days and doesn’t get in the way.

The band is playing the shit out of this song. Solid 4.
There's the dog. You can't fake that stuff. Confess with your mouth.

Somehow, in my sleep, this Spark Splatter song seems to have drifted further downward, bordering on 3 territory, in my mind...
I'm jazzed for the new jams, but, 4 feels strong right now.
4 is the shelf which sits just below top tier
I can't, in good conscience, make that bold a commitment
We still make records to be listened to — not that everyone will listen to a record track one to twelve in a row or side A or Side B — but we still make 'em in case somebody does want to listen to it like that, that's how we make em…

A solid 8 out of 10.

I’d be 8 too.

Not loving the super tight snare. It would have worked better with a deeper thud albini sound. And I wish it didn’t end so abruptly. Another 30 seconds or so of Mike melting our faces.

But these are niggles. It’s a fuckin damn fine tune.

It could easily be a Soundgarden tune too. I can 100% hear chris singing this. And that’s awesome.

Absolutely a Soundgarden riff circa Louder era. Ending travesty reminds me of the Life Wasted leak we got prior to Avocado...Would love to hear a rough mix of this one.

someone very early on got TotD vibes. I feel that a little more than soundgarden. its a bit too efficent for them

Though i recognize that a pre badmotorfinger Soundgarden vs TotD is splitting the finest of hairs

Great point. Temple riffs, in general, much more streamlined than the typical SG fare post-Louder.
This riff, sounding much closer aligned with Ultramega or Louder eras, would sound closer to ToTD
