It’s such a cool sound
I agree, that should anchor the mix

It’s kinda odd it’s on there so briefly

Ed's vocals bring ir down a bit for me. It's a hell of an energetic performance but I can't help wonder how much more I'd love it, or how much more impactful it'd be if he still had some low end in his voice. More of a stand at the mic, stare aggressively into the ether, totallly
Anchored, with his baritone voice delivering the lines while the band blasts away behind him. With that, he could be up more in the mix.

Alas......

there are times Id agree, but then this might just be evacuation. this requires a warning siren level of urgency and frustration. I think he gives it - and resists the instinct to go high. he left that for mike, and left the deeper grounding for matt, stone, and jeff.

i think everyone is right where they need to be

still a 4, hasn't moved; I might go 3.5 if that was an option but I'm happy with my 4

I want the album to go a bit deeper than this at times but I'm fairly confident it will

shades of RATM in this, too

While I agree, there is a BIG gap between DoTC and the rest of Gigaton. And I think it’s a pretty decent album (massive improvement on the embarrassment that is LB).

Maybe I shouldn’t due to risk of letdown, but I expect the majority of songs on DM to be superior to the majority of songs on Gig. With competition like Buckle Up, Never Destination, and River Cross, this should be a realistic bar for DM.

Haven't gone through all the pages on this song yet. But, this sums up how I feel about the song so far. Really love the ferocity of it. I hear shades of RATM and You Are in there. I really had no expectations other than possibly being mildly disappointed. I haven't seen the band live since 2016 but definitely will see them at least once on this tour.

People seem to revere Buckle Up as if it was the new Wishlist or something.
I'm not feeling it.

I’m at 3.5 s as well. I love all of the parts of this song, but there’s a flow or consistency missing for me. I don’t even know if I’m conveying that correctly, it’s hard to describe

I still really like Gigaton. Probably my favorite since Avocado. I haven't listened to it in quite awhile. But, I'm sure this new single will have me going back to listen again. It really hit me during those covid lockdown days, especially Alright.
