somebody made one with twice the intro but I can't remember who
And a cool vocal intro version, too.

Feels like a lot of reputable RMers are in the 3.5 zone

will be interesting to see if that gets downgraded to a 3, e.g. after some botched vocal performances by Ed

or upgraded to a 4, e.g. after Mike adds a few dozen extra minutes to that solo

That’s awesome. Now if someone could add one more additional chorus to the end too tbh ey would be my hero

leaving aside that I never really thought they were better live than on record, I definitely don't feel they are with most of the material now; and it feels weird to say "I think I like the song but I need to wait to hear it live first"

i'm all about the live

if it doesn't work live, it is dead to me

i know i am an outlier with this view

wait thats a fan edit not from the b-side?
what about the one with the vocal intro is that an edit too?

also i dislike the cash register sound effects but if i ignore the lyrics i really like cant deny me. its a pretty kick ass song. i dont get the hate for it. i think it had serious potential.

What about a song like No Way? Is it dead to you?

What if it used to work live but not so much anymore, like In My Tree?

S/T was the last album where I really felt like the live versions were transformative in any meaningful way. Since then, despite some solid performances, the album versions are mostly as good as new PJ songs are going to get.

I don't have the single but my understanding is that yes, the vocal is a separate track / b-side; someone on here spliced it onto Dark Matter; the extended intro was also fan-made, I think

I don't hate Can't Deny Me, I never did; I am definitely glad they went back to the drawing board but it's far from a bad song

That's because the S/T album was the best record they ever made.

I also struggled to find bootlegs that sounded good after 2006 but that might be just me

I think 2010 was about my limit for bootlegs. For better or worse many songs require Ed to do things he can no longer do. Doesn’t affect the live experience all that much but it’s very noticeable on bootlegs.

I think Pearl Jam killed themselves a bit with that 06 tour and the who tribute performance in 07. For real.

Yea, I still love the shows but it's never been the same since.
