So fuck him. There's only one Watt in my vocabulary and I'm glad to die on that hill.

I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to make the connection between the “spritzy” guitars here and those in My Morning Jacket’s Highly Suspicious (forgive me if this has been mentioned).

Re: Dark Matter (song)
This would rank in the lower third of Gigaton songs if it was on that album.

Re: Dark Matter (song)
which would be just fine because there are no bad songs on Gigaton
and they don't tend to release the best song as a first single, that's not been the case for most of their career

That means the album they scrapped with Can’t Deny Me must have been straight fire, as the kids sayMs Harmless wrote:which would be just fine because there are no bad songs on Gigaton

Gigaton was ass. This is better than all but two songs on there.

I'm kinda loving the way Eddie sings "for someone else's mistake!".

Re: Dark Matter (song)
Haha I love to hear people’s opinions. I don’t think this new track is better than any Gigaton song. But I’m still sitting with it. Maybe better than never destination or wolfmoon. It just doesn’t sound like a fleshed out song to my ears, kinda boring. I really miss the layers and atmosphere of the Gigaton songs and the fact the songs could “breathe”. I’m hoping for some more interesting songs on the album.Ello Sailor wrote:Gigaton was ass. This is better than all but two songs on there.
All in all, Gigaton fucking rules.

love the plaintive edge to Eddie’s voice on ‘take shape’ during the chorus
also that final chorus is a mini triumph
