i’m just glad Matt finally showed up as ‘real Matt’ for this one and not ‘Matt doing pearl jam’

Sure, but again - that's not the same thing.
We don't know that.

Shit, I'd go so far as to say I don't care who writes the song if it's performed well by Pearl Jam. Crazy Mary is a song that they really made their own, even though it was written by Victoria Williams and she sings on their version as well. If Watt helps them create songs that move me the way Pearl Jam can, then why should I be upset about that? Is there some cheat against some purity code happening there? Where can one read this code?

Hmm. HMMMM. This is maybe the connection my mind/ears have been trying to make. In a "just a bit" sort of way.

I'm too lazy to read my own book.

Guys, fear not! I have discovered Wottmans contribution as a hidden vocal during the guitar solo at exactly 2:59. It’s actually a single word and the source of Dark Matter - Satan! :D We now have an explanation for the name of the album and song! It’s before Eddie does his little devil scream. Either it’s Wott or our AI overlords are inserting subliminal messages in the split tracks. I took a screen recording with audio, but no idea how to post videos so here is an audio clip (It is at 8 seconds mark).

One might believe it is just bleed from splitting the tracks, but I prefer to believe this is Wott’s sole credit!

In addition to producing and engineering, Parashar played piano (including Fender Rhodes), organ and percussion on the Pearl Jam tracks "Black" and "Jeremy" as well as Temple of the Dog's "Call Me a Dog", "All Night Thing", and "Times of Trouble". He was also a composer and ran London bridge I'm sure he has a big influence on Ten

Folks trying to act like the Wottman getting a few credits is somehow akin to Desmond Child writing tunes for Aerosmith & Bon Jovi....F that noise...
As if the integrity meter has somehow seismically swung from Fugazi over to Katy Perry. Outta here with that.

He's merely giving our boys a bit of a fluff. No shame
We still make records to be listened to — not that everyone will listen to a record track one to twelve in a row or side A or Side B — but we still make 'em in case somebody does want to listen to it like that, that's how we make em…

Watt clearly acted as a musical director, giving them advice on musical arrangement while watching them play, and probably telling Ed his first draft lyrics were lazy as part of his duty as producer; that's not even slightly out of the remit of what most producers do, and most of them won't get a writing credit; but Pearl Jam values collaboration with their friends as an extension of their band, so he gets a credit, and that's OK with me

Watt has a writing credit for every song on Earthlings, and it rules
