And they will let absolutely any parent take a human baby home from the hospital.
I think they had like a 3 interview process, plus these reference calls!

Should have pulled an Elaine and say that my friend did yell at me once

It’s looking like we may be getting to the end with Snowball and her CHF. In the last week, she stopped eating her canned food so we’ve had to be creative in making sure she’s getting her meds. Since Thursday, she’s refused to really eat anything except for yesterday. We boiled a chicken breast and she gobbled it down. She threw up in the middle of the night and is again refusing to eat anything. She’s drinking a lot so she’s also peeing a lot and she’s having some rough diarrhea. We've only had her since 2019 and we really have no way of knowing how old she was when we found her. We’re thinking she’s around 13-14. So not ready for her to go. We also rescued Parker when we got her (literally picked them up together from the side of the road) and the two of them have a bond like I’ve never seen in animal or human. It’s going to devastate Parker. She’ll be so lost without her true blue companion, it breaks my heart thinking about it. I’m not sure I can handle this.

Well, in the two weeks since I posted last, she has rebounded and started eating again. But now, this is the third day she hasn’t eaten. We can’t even get her pill meds in her. We’re giving her her liquid medicine by forcing her mouth open and shooting it down her throat, but we tried that with some soft food and her pills and she just spit it back out. She drinks water quite regularly, so we’re quite perplexed as to why no food. Got a vet appt tomorrow afternoon. Of course it works out that I have to be the one to take her. I’m dreading this so much. So afraid that I won’t be coming back home with her.

I think my old dog has sundown syndrome. It starts acting crazy around 6pm. Lasts a couple of hours until he gets too tired and falls asleep.

a medium sized dauwg showed up in our front yard yesterday, walked right up to Raz. The kids went nuts for it, and it was very friendly, long-dogger. Very dirty so we gave him a bath. We posted on FB about him to see if anyone will claim him. If not, we may have a 3rd dauwg in our home. I have mixed feelings about it. He's very calm and friendly.

Doug jr. is at the vet again. Since we just arrived in town I can't be choosy where I go. Banfield tried to scam me into $1300 worth of tests.

He's fucking up the temp apartment by vomiting everywhere. I think he's starting to lose control of his bladder and bowels now.

If someone told me to put him down I probably would, but the vets don't seem to think he's there yet.

I'm pretty sure we're about to go through the same thing..our guy turns 16 in may..he's a cocker spaniel thats pretty much blind and deaf but still has energy..he will poop in the house near the door thats always open for him but sometimes he just can't get out there..he never pees in the house though which is nice..his appetite is great but he's going soon I just know it..the move next month is going to stress him big time I think.. :(
