Re: HBO Television Show: True Detective
I remember really wanting to like season 3 more than I did, because I thought the premise was really a powerful foundation for a good detective story, and it's hard to do better than Mahershala Ali as your central performer. But I felt like it never got to where it should have been (which for me, lands pretty much on the writing and plotting; everything else seems properly in place).VinylGuy wrote:I’ll re watch 2 and 3 someday. What Ali did in S3 was his masterwork.

I mean, she's a massive asshole to Yung Prior for no reason. The rest of them deserve it.

Pizzolato is finishing a movie he wrote and direct with Simon Rex, Vince Vaughn, Al Pacino, Kate Mara and more. It’s called Easy ‘s Waltz and I can’t wait to see it.

Ten years later, I finally watched the first series of this show and it was as great as I'd been led to believe.

Burt's hatred of S1 is one of the all-time worst takes on RM. It absolutely rules.
